What is a financial counsellor?

A financial counsellor is a person who can assist you with a range of services relating to personal finances. These include information and options on:

  • Understanding debts and debt recovery processes
  • Assistance with budgeting and money management
  • Assist you to voice your circumstances to creditors and others
  • Insolvency options
